The revered monarch presented the plaque to the singer on Thursday, August 30th, 2024 when he visited him at his palace.
For those who don’t know, Rema is currently in Benin, Edo State for his homecoming concert taking place at the popular Ogbe Stadium in Benin City.
Recall that Rema, on Wednesday joined Governor Godwin Obaseki for the groundbreaking ceremony of Edo Arena, where the governor announced that the 6,000-capacity arena would be called “Rema Dome” in honour of the singer.
